Gangtok - Yumthang - Lachen - Gurudongmar Lake - Baba Mandir

On arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, you will be received by our professional representative, who will be waiting for a warm welcome just outside of the airport (customs area) / Rly. Station by your nameplate / your referral and proceed for Gangtok (5500ft. / 124 km. / 4 hours), the capital city of the Indian state of Sikkim (Sikkim is the 23rd.state of India) which is also known as the most peaceful as well as Small but Beautiful state in India. On arrival at Gangtok check in at your hotel. Overnight stay.

After breakfast move to Lachen. On the way do not miss Seven Sister Waterfall and Singhik View Point. Lunch will be offered at a local restaurant on the way. Reach Lachen by the afternoon and complete the check-in formalities at the hotel. Enjoy an overnight stay in Lachen.

Early morning drive towards legendary Gurudongmar Lake considered the most sacred lake in North Sikkim. Please note that only Indian Nationals can visit this lake, so if you are accompanied by any foreign friend you need to intimate us in advance. The lake is situated at the highest altitude in North Sikkim and hence its high altitude may cause breathing problems. Be prepared and do not exert. After paying a visit to the lake come back to the hotel, take lunch & refreshments, and after that leave for Lachung. Overnight stay at Lachung Hotel.

After taking breakfast at the hotel proceed for an excursion to Yumthang Valley – the ultimate valley of flowers in North Sikkim (Alt 11,800 ft). On the way back to the hotel do not forget to visit the hot spring – the crystal water in it is said to have some medicinal trait. An optional tour to Yumesamdong Valley or Zero Point close to Tibet Border (Alt 15,000 ft, 23 km from Yumthang) for Indian tourists only can be arranged (at extra cost and prior notice). Reach the hotel and check out & leave for Gangtok.

After a buffet breakfast at the hotel, today we will proceed on a guided city tour. We will start from the Tashi view point, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, and the flower show. These amazing viewpoints offer a panoramic view of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks & Gangtok City. Proceed to visit Ban-Jhakri Falls, the Institute of Tibetology, Enchay Monastery, Dodurl Chorten, etc. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

After breakfast drive up for a memorable excursion tour to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft. /39 km). This is one of the highest altitudes of Himalayan Lake. Most beautiful this oval shape lake is almost 1 km long with an average depth of 50th ft and situated in east Sikkim Himalaya. Again drive up for Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial (13,000 ft/15 km/30 minutes). Back to Gangtok and evening free for M.G Marg. the popular shopping area in Gangtok. Overnight stay in Gangtok.
